Maya Tips--1: Workspace, Pick Masks, Cam setups

1. Ensure you're in the Animation workspace.  2. the Select curve objects pick mask helps for grabbing manipulators


1. These icons help you set up your camera view with masks and Safe Cut-offs. 2. Consider making a 2nd perspective camera as your 'sandbox' in which to select objects and centre their views ('f' hotkey)


1. Selecting Render Settings from the Windows pull-down launches the  2. Render Settings dialogue box. Inside here, you can find the  3. Image Size area, in which to input the required 1280 x 720 aspect ratio.


1. In your viewport's View menu, Select Camera to activate it for animating. Within this pull-down menu, going to Camera Settings allows you to select  2. Vertical, if you wish to isolate the camera from the panel's edges for clarity. The Bunny sits beside options to set up your view that are alternatives to using the icons along the top edge of the panel.
